Description
The 2NZ-FE is a 1,298/1,299 cc four-cylinder petrol engine from Toyota’s NZ family. Toyota used it in several Yaris/Vitz generations and other compact models.
Toyota’s original Yaris specification described the 2NZ-FE as a 1,299 cc four-cylinder, DOHC, 16-valve VVT-i engine, producing 63 kW (85 bhp) at 6,000 rpm and 124 Nm at 4,400 rpm. Later applications have slightly different torque specifications.
A new 2NZ-FE long block generally will not include all the external components. Depending on the seller, you may need to transfer the intake manifold, throttle body, alternator, starter, injectors, sensors, wiring, AC compressor and other accessories from your existing engine.
Toyota Yaris models using the 2NZ-FE . The engine is used in several generations/markets, including:

A published service weight is approximately 92.5 kg with a manual transmission application and 84.8 kg with an automatic-transmission application. Bare/long-block engine weight will naturally be lower because it doesn’t include the transmission and/or accessories.
Toyota Yaris 1.3L 2NZ-FE:
A 1,298 cc, 4-cylinder, DOHC 16-valve petrol engine from Toyota’s NZ engine family. It uses electronic fuel injection and, on applicable versions, VVT-i (Variable Valve Timing-intelligent) to improve fuel economy, performance, and emissions.
Important:
If you give me your Yaris year (for example 2003, 2007, 2010, 2012), chassis code/VIN, and whether it is manual or automatic, I can tell you which 2NZ-FE version you need and what should come with the new engine. Be careful with the terminology. Sellers may describe an engine as new, OEM, brand-new, long block, bare engine, reconditioned, or used/contract engine, and these are not necessarily the same thing.
The 2NZ-FE and 2SZ-FE can both appear in listings as “Toyota Yaris 1.3”, but they are different engines. Toyota documentation and parts catalogues should be checked against your vehicle’s VIN/chassis code before ordering.
