Description
The Toyota Land Cruiser 1HZ 4.2L 12-valve engine and manual gearbox is a heavy-duty naturally aspirated diesel powertrain used extensively in Land Cruiser 70, 80 and 100/105-series applications.
A key point when buying one as a complete package is that the gearbox is not the same across every 1HZ Land Cruiser. Toyota documentation identifies the R151F 5-speed manual with the 1HZ in the 100/105-series specification, while older 1HZ applications also used H55F/H150F transmissions depending on model and year.
